I Went Dirt Biking on Mars

Date: August 31st, 2026 It was a nice quiet morning and I was happy to see good weather. I caught some early views with the drone, had some coffee and breakfast, then hopped on the Talaria Komodo and headed up the Chromium Creek Valley Mine Road to explore the terrain for the day. The DJI Air 3s stayed locked on in follow mode as I rode all the way to the end of the road. From there, I launch the DJI FPV Drone and carve the ridgelines that surround the valley - the rock formations look straight out of Mars. On the way back, I spot another epic ridge and stop for some more FPV mountain surfing, sending the drone all the way to Perkins Peak. The landscape felt unreal, with red rock, deep valleys, and wide open alpine views. I cruise slowly back toward camp with the Air 3s capturing the ride, the scenery, and "Mars-like" terrain that makes this place feel like another planet.
