Every spring, tens of thousands of red-sided garter snakes emerge from their winter dens near Narcisse, Manitoba — creating one of the most incredible wildlife spectacles in Canada. I travelled to the Narcisse Snake Dens with my camera to experience and photograph this remarkable gathering firsthand. There’s something special about witnessing wildlife at this scale. Thousands of snakes emerge into the landscape for a brief window each year, offering an incredible opportunity to observe, photograph, and learn about a species that many people rarely get the chance to appreciate up close. This is what I want this channel to be about: getting out into the wild, documenting extraordinary animals and places, and sharing the stories behind the photographs along the way. If you’re interested in wildlife photography, birds, nature, conservation, and the stories behind the images, subscribe and join me for what comes next. 📍 Narcisse Snake Dens, Manitoba, Canada Stay Wild Friends! 📸 Wildlife photography by Jared Vandermeer My Links: TikTok -   / jared.vandermeer   Instagram -   / wild.vandermeer   Website - https://www.jaredvandermeer.com/
