Java 8 has been released more than 6 months ago, and we can already see project moving to this new version. The biggest new thing of this release is of course the introduction of the lambda expressions. This introduction would have been useless of the Collection API wouldnt have been revisited to leverage the power of the lambda expressions. This has been done, and brought the new Stream API to us developpers. The Stream API, along with the Collectors, makes our good old Iterator pattern a little old now. This university aims to show the new patterns brought by the Stream API, on many examples, simple and complex. We will show new patterns, and talk about implementation, performances and parallelization.
