On September 19, 2026, Grand Canyon Railway celebrated several significant anniversaries by running a steam doubleheader from Williams to the Grand Canyon. This video shows onboard footage from the most difficult part of the trip: 8 miles of steep grade maxing out at 3%. It's recorded in real time, so nothing is missing as these two historic steam breathing beasts tackle the steep hill, pulling over 1000 tons against the drawbar.
