Arulmigu Dhakshinakasi Kalabhairavar Temple is situated in Adhiyaman Kottai, Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu. This temple is 1200 years old and ancient temple constructed by the King Adhiyaman Nedumaan Anji who ruled Thagadur district. This King only constructed this temple after so many defeats from his war. He decided to extend the ruling area, he did so many plans, but he met so many defeats because of his enemies. His Asthana Jothidars asked him to construct the separate Kalabairavar temple to stop all the negativities happens due to his enemies. but construction of Kalabairavar temple is against the Agama Sastra. He then decided to build the temple, he went to Kasi and collected the stone and sand from Ganga river. In world wide there are only 2 separate temples for Kalabairavar temple, one is Varanasi Temple and another one is Dharmapuri Kalabairavar temple. Theipirai Astami is the special day in this temple. People from various states like Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra and Maharastra are coming this temple on astami and doing poojas.
