Long Exposures with a Colourful Sunrise at Loch Morlich, Scotland

During a colourful sunrise at Loch Morlich in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland I decided to do long exposure photography, trying to capture the clouds moving through the landscape. Once more I’m heading out for a sunrise shoot at one of my local spots, Loch Morlich. This was in fact my 3rd landscape photography session at Loch Morlich because the first one I was unable to record and the second one the light was not very good. But luckily on my third landscape photography session I finally got some decent light. The colours were dramatic and the sky was fantastic as clouds swept through the scene, which meant only one thing: Long Exposure Photography! I set up my camera on the composition that I wanted, threw on a Neutral Density filter and calculated my exposure for a super long exposure resulting in some images with the clouds smoothed in the sky.
