Rupert & Taggie AU || do you miss us

«Babylon lovers hangin' lifetimes on a vine Do you miss mine? Do you miss us, us? I felt it, you held it, do you miss us, us? Wonder if you regret the secret of us, us...» I'm clearly going through rupert x taggie withdrawals...and as is customary I like to make aus for my favourite ships lol This one takes five years later after their kiss. Taggie is a riding instructor now and she returns home when she's offered a job. Rupert didn't pursue anything with her five years ago because he truly wanted better for her and wanted to do right by his promise to Declan. Even in the present he struggles with that promise although it's clear their feelings have only grown with time and space. Taggie doesn't understand and feels frustrated, but in the end Rupert chooses happiness and pursues a relationship Taggie.
