Birding in Lilongwe’s Area 10, Malawi

Area 10 in Lilongwe, Malawi offers a lot in terms of birding. The area still has many of its native plants and trees which is a definite attraction to the birds that call Malawi home. I embarked on a small walk in the residential zone called Area 10. This Area has a lot of big gardens that receive water regularly. The trees and habitats are healthy and there is even a dam in the middle. I have counted more than 70 different bird species here in this Area alone, and I am sure there are even more. Lilongwe is a special place in my eyes it is not a city that is huge and contains a lot of pollution. You can see the stars at night, making it quite special.
