We’re getting ready for an upcoming Nigerian Dwarf buck show, and in this video we’re revealing which of our ADGA registered bucks we’ve chosen to potentially compete! But we also had our first real scare with worms when our doe Raven became dangerously thin and looked almost like a skeleton after battling a severe internal parasite/worm burden. Thankfully, Raven has been treated and is finally on the mend.
We’ll show you Raven’s recovery and demonstrate how we check a goat’s FAMACHA score, why checking the lower eyelid is important when monitoring for anemia associated with barber pole worms, and what we learned from this scary experience.
We’ll also spend some time with our show-bound three Nigerian Dwarf bucks, discussing their strengths and the divisions they’ll be competing in.
If you raise Nigerian Dwarf goats, show goats, or simply enjoy following our homestead and goat adventures, be sure to subscribe and come along with us!
