India First Debate | Opposition Ramlila Maidan Rally: Success Or Flop Show? | Rahul vs Amit Shah

A political discussion on India First addresses Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks regarding the deletion of names from electoral rolls under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Amit Shah linked absent and untraceable voter entries to illegal immigrants, referencing an opposition rally at Ramlila Maidan. In response, Congress spokesperson Bhavya Narasimhamurthy questioned the government's representation of the Election Commission of India (ECI) and highlighted the absence of official meeting minutes submitted to the Supreme Court regarding the SIR directive. The debate also covered the opposition's notice seeking the impeachment of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. BJP spokesperson Tuhin Sinha and panelist Tehseen Poonawalla contested the opposition's claims concerning voter deletions, arguing that removals included deceased and duplicate records, while panelist Swati Chaturvedi underscored institutional transparency. The panel evaluated allegations regarding voter rolls, parliamentary accountability, and ongoing legal scrutiny surrounding the Election Commission's procedures. #SIRControversy #CongressVsBJP #GyaneshKumar #itwebvideos #IndiaFirst #ECI #AmitShah #BhavyaNarasimhamurthy #VoterDeletions #SupremeCourt #IndianPolitics #GauravSawant #TehseenPoonawalla #SwatiChaturvedi #RamlilaMaidan #ElectionCommission #IndiaToday #SIR #RahulGandhi #Congress #BJP #VoteChori #TuhinSinha #Debate #ElectoralRolls #Parliament Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
