How People Live in Ireland | 80 Million People Trace Their Roots Here | 4K Documentary A small Atlantic island of seven million people that answers to a family ten times its size — some seventy million across five continents claim Irish blood — because a famine in 1845 halved the nation, sent its children across the ocean, and Ireland has set a place for them ever since. In the post office in Westport, County Mayo, the postmistress sorts the morning sack at nine, and three of the envelopes are postmarked Boston. In kitchens from Mayo to Cork, phones lean against teapots, ringing numbers in time zones where the day is ending, because Ireland has spent two centuries sending its children to other continents and setting a place for them anyway. #Ireland #LivingInIreland #IrelandDocumentary #4KDocumentary #TravelDocumentary #IrishCulture #IrishDiaspora
