双核 DUAL CORE - 大井一彌 KAZUYA OI

Equally inspired by his love for both heavy metal and cutting-edge electronic music, Kazuya Oi's 'DUAL CORE' utilizes Sensory Percussion on both acoustic and silent mesh drums to add sonic layers live with no backing tracks. The piece unfolds as a duet with himself: two clones playing interlocking parts that create a percussive call and response, blurring the line between analog and digital. We caught up with Kazuya on the Sunhouse blog to ask about the role Sensory Percussion plays in his setup.
