2025 Western & Southern WEBN Fireworks

Join me live from BEELiNE at Newport on the Levee (Newport, KY) on the banks of the Ohio River for the 49th Annual WEBN Fireworks. Cincinnati Radio Station WEBN (102.7 FM) started this annual display in 1977 for their 10th Birthday. Several corporate sponsors have been involved over the history of the fireworks, currently the title sponsor is Western & Southern. The Western & Southern / WEBN Fireworks are one of the largest fireworks displays in the United States and annually draws over 1/2 Million people to the Kentucky and Cincinnati shorelines of the Ohio River for the climatic end of summer display on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. WEBN owner Frank (Bo) Wood who started the fireworks and continued the tradition since 1977 and was the driving force behind the idea of fireworks choreographed to a soundtrack (music) passed away July 29, 2025 at age 83. Deepest sympathy to both the Wood and WEBN Families. Credits: Thumbnail Photo: Chris Stegner, BluegrassPhotography.net
