The Champ is Here! Gabby Williams Reflects on the Golden State Valkyries’ First WNBA Title

Fresh off securing the first ever WNBA championship for the Golden State Valkyries, 2026 Finals MVP Gabby Williams stops by Bird’s Eye View! Gabby and Sue talk about Gabby’s offensive strategy for Game 7, how it felt facing an equally defensive-minded team in the Atlanta Dream, Natalie Nakase’s bold leadership, and why Golden State’s system can’t be replicated. Gabby also reflects on all of the ways she and the Valkyries made WNBA history during this Finals run, from Gabby scoring the most points in a Finals game half (28 points) to Golden State becoming the fastest team to win a title.
