Nashik : Exploring Jyotirlingas, Caves & Forts

Nashik Trip Situated on the banks of the holy Godavari River, Nashik is a vibrant city in Maharashtra. The city is also world-famous for the massive Kumbh Mela, held every 12 years. From Nashik, one can undertake a circular trip to cover three Jyotirlingas (Trimbakeshwar, Grishneshwar, and Bhimashankar), Shirdi, Shani Shingnapur, Daulatabad Fort, and the Ajanta and Ellora caves. Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga is located in Trimbak village. This temple houses three lingas —symbolizing Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh—whereas all other Jyotirlinga shrines contain only a single Shivling . It holds a market share of over 50% in the domestic wine market and holds the distinction of being the "World's Most Visited Vineyard." The Godavari Ghats specifically the vibrant Ramkund area in Panchavati—are considered the spiritual heart of Nashik.
