In this excerpt from a series of artist-led instigations presented during the forum, movement worker, educator and poet Tongo Eisen-Martin performs his poem 'The Course of Meal'. Follow the Create Justice project throughout the next year at carnegiehall.org/createjustice and aiynetwork.org/createjustice. On March 23 and 24, Create Justice: A National Discussion on Arts and Justice was launched by Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute (WMI) and the Los Angeles-based Arts for Incarcerated Youth Network (AIYN). Create Justice is a new national initiative focused on the intersection of arts and juvenile justice. During the first convening in a series of three Create Justice Forums, thought leaders, artists, and representatives from non-profit and government agencies led instigations on community, the social incubator, agency and creativity.
