What your Linux distro says about you, part 2. Last time the comments had exactly one complaint: I skipped yours. So the distro personality algorithm is back (still a spreadsheet, but it has a second tab now, and most of that tab is your angry comments) to run every Linux distro it missed, plus a few cursed ones that should not exist.
We go distro by distro. Kubuntu, where every app starts with a K and the settings have their own settings. openSUSE, made in Germany, tested by a robot, and yes, Uptime Funk is a real music video. Omarchy, Arch set up by DHH in one command, which the Arch community has voted does not count. Manjaro, living two weeks in the past, sometimes longer. CachyOS, self-worth measured in frames per second. Zorin OS, for every laptop Windows 11 called too old. elementary OS, Linux in a black turtleneck. Asahi Linux, where an anime VTuber wrote Apple's GPU driver in Rust on a livestream. Parrot OS, Kali with a nicer wallpaper. Raspberry Pi OS, currently in a drawer. Alpine Linux, which you've used a thousand times inside Docker without ever seeing it. Rocky Linux, what sysadmins did after Red Hat killed CentOS. Slackware, the oldest distro still alive, where dependencies are your problem. And Qubes OS, where one sketchy PDF gets its own throwaway computer.
Then it gets cursed. Hannah Montana Linux, which got a new release almost two decades later. Ubuntu Satanic Edition, version 666.11. Red Star OS, North Korea's official operating system, which scored a perfect 100, voluntarily. And a bonus that isn't Linux at all: TempleOS, the operating system Terry Davis wrote alone, which the algorithm doesn't diagnose.
It's a comedy video, but the facts are real. If your distro still isn't on the list, drop it in the comments. If it's Windows, the algorithm is still not talking to you.
