An Autumn Rest Stop for Nearly 100 Birds

Nearly 100 Canada geese and other migratory birds gathered at Pond 2. Ducks and seagulls joined them, filling the pond and the surrounding grassy shore. Some birds searched for food in the grass, while others moved slowly across the water. They appeared calm and comfortable, resting their tired bodies and regaining strength before continuing their long journey. The Canada geese seem to know that this pond is a safe and peaceful stopover. As one flock leaves, another arrives, and the autumn pond continues to welcome new travelers. As the season grows colder, we do not know how much longer they will remain here. That makes this peaceful gathering an even more precious record of nature. October 6, 2026 • 2:00 PM
