The Galaxy-Brain Structure of Hoodwinked (and Rashomon)

Our greatest collective achievement as a species is a 2006 animated movie called Hoodwinked. It's structure, which comes from Akira Kurasawa's great film, Rashomon, is one of the most interesting in all of storytelling. It doesn't care about feelings, only facts and the fact is that Hoodwinked is the peak of filmmaking. The story of Little Red Riding Hood and the big bad wolf gets a retelling with this masterpiece. Rather than stick to the traditional formula, the film adds new characters to the story like Twitchy the squirrel and a gang of russian spies. Coupled with a storytelling technique from Japan's greatest filmmaker and you've got a sure fire crowd pleaser. The furthest humanity has pushed avant garde art to this point in history.
