About Goddess Shailaputri (माँ शैलपुत्री): Introduction: She is the absolute form of Mother Nature, the daughter of the King of Mountains, Himalayas (Parvati). Mount (Vahan): Vrishabha (Nandi, the Bull), symbolizing unwavering devotion. Attributes (Astra-Shastra): She holds a Trishul (trident) in her right hand and a beautiful lotus flower in her left. Offerings (Bhog): She is traditionally offered pure cow’s ghee and white flowers to bring health, blessings, and purity. 1. Dhyana / Prarthana Shloka (Meditation Verse) वन्दे वाञ्छितलाभाय चन्द्रार्धकृतशेखराम्। वृषारूढ़ां शूलधरां शैलपुत्रीं यशस्विनीम्॥ vandE vAnChita-lAbhAya chandrArdhakRta shEkharAm | vRShArUDhAm shUladharAm shailaputrIm yashasvinIm || (I pay my salutations to the illustrious Goddess Shailaputri, who is adorned with a half-moon on her head, rides a bull, carries a trident, and fulfills all divine desires.) 3.
