A NEW ADVENTURE BEGINS! | BUSH BUNDYS – ALPINE GOLD We're back in the Otago backcountry, New Zealand, and this time we're taking our gold prospecting adventures to a whole new level! Welcome to Alpine Gold, our first-ever full season dedicated to searching for gold deep in New Zealand's rugged alpine wilderness. With a goal of finding 150 grams of gold this season, we've got a massive challenge ahead of us. Freezing rivers, remote mountain camps, unpredictable weather and plenty of unexplored bedrock stand between us and our target. In this first adventure, we hike into the mountains carrying everything we need, establish camp and begin exploring the river in search of promising gold bearing ground. Armed with our snorkels, wetsuits and gold pans, we take to the icy water, searching underwater crevices and bedrock for hidden gold. And while we manage to uncover some beautiful pieces of natural New Zealand gold, finding a spot worth really getting stuck into proves to be another challenge altogether! Will we find the rich ground we're searching for? And can we reach our 150-gram season goal?
