European Starlings - Autumn flocks #birds #birdsounds #starlings #migration #birdsong #flocks

This is why I managed to finally keep these birds away from my feeders/yard. But - to see them in flocks and singing all at once in September is pretty amazing! "European starlings, introduced to North America in the late 19th century, have significantly disrupted local ecosystems by outcompeting native bird species for food and nesting sites, often leading to declines in populations of cavity-nesting birds like bluebirds and woodpeckers. Their aggressive behavior and rapid reproduction have also contributed to agricultural damage and changes in forest composition".
