Intern Doctors Allege Government Betrayal, Warn of Further Protest Over Pending Stipend Revision Srinagar: A delegation of intern doctors from Jammu and Kashmir on Monday visited the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar to meet officials regarding the pending release of the revised stipend order for MBBS and BDS interns. During the meeting, the delegation was reportedly informed that the matter had already been processed and forwarded to the concerned Secretary. The representatives said Health Minister Sakina Itoo had earlier asked them to wait for one week for the release of the order. However, after meeting officials, the intern doctors reached Pratap Park, Srinagar, and briefed the media, alleging that the government had ignored their concerns and failed to fulfil its assurance. The representatives expressed disappointment over the continued delay and said they would now consult their team to decide the future course of their protest. They warned that further steps could be taken to the press for the fulfilment of their demands if the revised stipend order was not released. The intern doctors reiterated their demand for the early issuance of the revised stipend order, urging the government to address the matter without further delay.
