Two by Sonny Boy Williamson II: Eyesight to the Blind and Cool Cool Blues

Hope you guys enjoy this lesson by Sonny Boy Williamson II (Rice Miller). I cut loose on both songs assisted by my friend Roberto Hernandez on the cajon (he's the host of The Unstarving Musician Podcast, an interview show I highly recommend if you're interested in ways to approach the indie music biz at https://www.unstarvingmusician.com/). Cool Cool Blues on Trumpet features Joe Willie Wilkins-- if you haven't heard his Trumpet sides you're in for a treat! Joe Willie Wilkins is in the same camp as Willie Johnson and seems to have an unlimited fountain of creativity. By the time Sonny Boy got around to "Born Blind" (a remake of his Trumpet side "Eyesight to the Blind") his Chess releases were perfected to a formula with the twin guitar team of Robert Lockwood and his apt pupil Luther Tucker.
