What makes a traitor? Are they born, or are they made?
In this documentary we walk into the Hall of Shame, the gallery of history's most hated betrayers, and look at the stories behind the names: Mir Jafar and the Battle of Plassey (1757), Mir Sadiq and the fall of Tipu Sultan at Srirangapatna (1799), and Sharif Hussein of Mecca and the Great Arab Revolt (1916).
But we don't stop at the faces on the wall. We ask who was pulling the strings. From Robert Clive and the British East India Company to the Sykes-Picot Agreement and the Balfour Declaration, we look at the imperial playbook of divide and rule, local collaborators and the "savior" narrative, and how the same pattern shows up in the modern world through debt, propaganda and puppet governments.
We also ask why one nation's traitor becomes another's hero, from George Washington to Michael Collins.
