Want to learn French, speak French and understand real French conversation? Welcome to Lesson 25 of the SmallTut French Language Course for Beginners, a practical course designed to help complete beginners understand and speak useful, everyday French. In French Lesson 25, we focus on looking for the toilets and the station: ask for directions and follow left and right instructions. You’ll learn and practice key spoken expressions including "Excuse me. Where are the toilets?" (Excusez-moi. Où sont les toilettes ?), "They're at the back, on the left" (Elles sont au fond, à gauche.), "Thank you. And how do I get to the station?" (Merci. Et pour aller à la gare ?), and "Go straight ahead" (Allez tout droit.). 🎧 START UNDERSTANDING & SPEAKING FRENCH The aim of SmallTut isn’t to make you memorize long vocabulary lists. We want you to hear French in context, understand what is happening and gradually become comfortable producing the language yourself. You’ll encounter familiar French from earlier lessons while learning how those words and patterns can be recombined into new conversations. This repeated exposure helps reinforce basic French vocabulary, French sentence patterns, listening comprehension and conversational French. You’ll hear the language, see how expressions fit together and then get opportunities to speak French aloud yourself. 🇫🇷 HEAR IT. SEE IT. SAY IT. SmallTut uses a simple approach to learning French for beginners: Hear it. See it. Say it. First, listen carefully to natural spoken French. Then see the French text, pronunciation and meaning. Finally, say it yourself. Rather than overwhelming beginners with technical grammar rules, SmallTut introduces French pronunciation, sentence rhythm and natural phrasing through listening, repetition and progressively building complete expressions. Don’t worry about being perfect. Listen carefully, repeat aloud and allow your ear to become familiar with the sounds and rhythm of spoken French. The objective isn’t simply to learn about the French language. The objective is to understand and speak French. 🗣️ FRENCH CONVERSATION FOR BEGINNERS As you progress through the course, you’ll gradually learn useful French words, basic French phrases, questions, answers, polite speech and everyday conversational French. Each lesson builds on language you’ve already encountered while introducing new expressions and situations. Instead of collecting isolated vocabulary, you’re gradually learning how French works in an actual conversation. If you’re completely new to French, we recommend beginning with Lesson 1 and following the lessons in sequence. ✈️ LEARNING FRENCH FOR TRAVEL & EVERYDAY LIFE? Whether you’re traveling to Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Bordeaux, exploring France, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, or planning to live abroad, even a little conversational French can make everyday interactions much more enjoyable. This course is suitable for complete beginners, travelers, expats and anyone who wants to learn to speak French for real-life communication. Across the series, we’ll gradually develop your French vocabulary, listening comprehension, pronunciation, sentence structures and speaking confidence — one small lesson and one conversation at a time. You don’t need hundreds of French words before you start speaking. Start small. Start speaking. Keep going. 📚 SMALLTUT FRENCH LANGUAGE COURSE This is French Lesson 25 of 50.
