Lake City to Winona | 3 Locks in One Day | Mississippi River | Video 3

Longest video yet. Most locks in one day. Woke up in Lake City and walked toward breakfast. This is where waterskiing started. Coffee at Marina Point. Then we tied off. Wabasha slid by. Starfire Barge kept appearing — same stretch, same timing. Minnesota on one side. Wisconsin on the other. Us in the middle. Three locks. Lock 4 dropped us 7 feet with one other boat. Lock 5 we had a 1 hour wait, then we slipped through between barges. Lock 5A 1st time floating through — 5 and a half feet — and came out to see a bar sitting on a barge at the dam. Water became greener. Fountain City from the river. We almost stopped at one marina and chose the levee instead. Winona. Took my wagon through town for a grocery run. Bloedow’s at the end.
