Rajasthan Sends 10 Lakh Cow-Dung Diyas to Mauritius for Diwali | Deaf News

10 lakh diyas made from cow dung in Rajasthan have been sent to Mauritius for Diwali celebrations. The initiative brings together more than 70 self-help groups, charitable organisations and other partners. Women and young people from several parts of Rajasthan are making these diyas, creating livelihood opportunities for rural communities. Some of the diyas also contain seeds of tulsi, moringa, ashwagandha and shatavari. After Diwali, they can be placed in soil or pots, where the seeds may grow into plants under suitable conditions. So far, around 16.5 lakh diyas have been produced and supplied, including 10 lakh sent to Mauritius and 6.5 lakh distributed across 16 Indian states.
