Bodycam DUI Arrest - 19 Year-Old Woman Arrested for DUI and Her Boyfriend Gets Mad at the Police

On September 3, 2022, Bowling Green Police Officer St. John observed a Jeep Patriot commit a "marked lane violation". He initiated a traffic stop and alleges that he smelled alcohol on the breath of the 19 year-old female driver. He had her exit the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety exercises. After he conferred with a fellow officer, he decided to arrest her for DUI, knowing that the legal limit for a 19 year-old is only 0.02% BAC. The arrest angered her boyfriend who was in the car with her. The female driver was eventually transported to the Bowling Green police station, where she refused to submit to an evidentiary breath test.
