Mercedes W116 ignition barrel replacement

The ignition key on my 6.9 started to get stuck. It would work with jiggling but once you get this, replaced it immediately. Otherwise you will find one day its permanently stuck in there and you cant get it out or start the car - removal of the entire ignition steering lock is a nightmare. This is how you remove a barrel, be aware 116 barrels are NLA original. I reinstalled a used one which looked ok, and in the meantime will possibly try a Febi 123 unit on ebay (not sure this will fit). I have another video of a more brutal way of removing the lock on a 123, drilling the steering locks out would likely lead to my back breaking!
