The Thinkers Ep. 3: Israel and America - The End?

Israeli society is divided, but not the way you think it’s divided. In three special episodes, Dr. Micah Goodman and Efrat Shapira Rosenberg trace the real fault lines beneath the upcoming election and ask what it takes to truly understand Israel. Ep. 3 Israel and America - The End? There's a basic psychological law: the weak think about the strong far more than the strong think about the weak. But around the elections in Israel and the US, the law seems to have flipped. In the US, both right and left are obsessed with Israel. In Israel, meanwhile, the election campaign almost completely ignores America and the West, even though Israel's legitimacy there is eroding, a threat that could prove existential. So why isn't Israel paying attention? In the final episode, Dr. Micah Goodman and Efrat Shapira Rosenberg try to solve the puzzle and uncover why Israelis feel so misunderstood by the West.
