How should Christians respond to suffering, deception, and uncertainty? And what does Jesus teach us about His return? In this verse-by-verse study of Luke 21, we examine Jesus' teachings on sacrificial giving, the destruction of Jerusalem, persecution, false prophets, and the glorious return of the Son of Man. Through these passages, we are reminded that God looks beyond outward appearances, genuine discipleship requires perseverance, and our hope rests not in the stability of this world but in Jesus Christ. 📖 Scripture: Luke 21:1–37 (NLT) In This Message: The Widow's Offering — God sees the sacrifice behind our generosity. The Destruction of the Temple — Earthly greatness does not guarantee God's approval. False Messiahs and Deception — Why believers must remain grounded in Scripture. Persecution and Perseverance — Remaining faithful when following Christ comes at a cost. The Destruction of Jerusalem — Understanding Jesus' prophetic warnings. The Return of Christ — Finding hope in the promise of our redemption. Key Reminder: The first time Jesus came, people could look past Him. When He returns, the whole world will have to look at Him. At Sanctus Church, we are committed to studying God's Word verse by verse, growing as disciples of Jesus Christ, and living out the truth of Scripture.
