The screen has gone black – but the mind refuses to follow. “SCHLAFLOS 2026” is a dark German-language progressive-house track about those endless hours when the body is exhausted but the thoughts simply will not stop. There is no conventional pop chorus and no attempt to turn sleeplessness into a dramatic spectacle. Instead, German spoken word becomes part of the rhythm: short thoughts, pauses and fragments of an ordinary night move through hypnotic electronic textures, deep four-on-the-floor beats and long, patient tension builds. A humming refrigerator. A car somewhere outside. A pillow that has become too warm. A clock that keeps moving. Small details become enormous when everything else is silent. The timestamps mark the journey through the night: at 3:17 the struggle is already underway, at 4:26 yesterday and tomorrow seem to merge, and at 5:58 morning finally arrives. But after a sleepless night, sunrise does not necessarily feel like a new beginning. Doch nach einer schlaflosen Nacht fühlt sich ein Sonnenaufgang nicht unbedingt wie ein neuer Anfang an.
