Wednesday of the 26th Week in Ordinary Time Luke 9:57-62"Wherever you go, I will follow you, Teacher

Following the Lord is a decision to completely shift the priorities of our lives. Jesus makes it clear that neither comfortable shelters, human obligations, nor worldly lingering can take precedence over the values of the Kingdom of God. To our hearts, which hesitate and repeatedly look back while holding the plow, the Lord firmly yet tenderly says, "Look forward." When we let go of the security the world offers and walk silently, trusting solely in the Lord, the true peace of God's Kingdom that guides our lives begins at last.
