Why do we keep returning to things that never truly satisfy?
In this message, we explore what Scripture calls “two evils” — forsaking God, the source of living water, and building broken cisterns that cannot hold what our souls truly need.
From the encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman to the stories of restoration in Luke, this teaching reveals the heart of Christ: not condemnation, but restoration.
Jesus did not come merely to improve life — He came that we might have life more abundantly.
In this teaching we explore:
• The danger of broken cisterns and misplaced dependence
• Why the soul thirsts for more than temporary solutions
• The purpose of Christ and the life He offers
• God’s joy in restoration and redemption
• The power of faith that reaches out and touches Jesus
• The prayer of Jabez and God’s willingness to enlarge what He blesses
• Why God delights in giving the Kingdom to His children
Throughout Scripture, we see a God who does not rejoice in loss but in recovery — a Father who seeks, restores, heals, and brings people home.
Living water is still available.
Restoration is still possible.
And heaven still rejoices when what was lost is found.
