Yangshuo gave us one of the most unforgettable days of this China trip. The cable cars lifted us straight into the clouds, gliding over those iconic karst mountains like a slow flight through a living painting. Every angle was unreal — mist, peaks, and endless green stretching across the horizon. Crossing the suspension rope bridge felt like stepping into an adventure film. A brilliant piece of engineering floating between cliffs, swaying just enough to remind you you’re standing above a valley carved by time. The views from the centre of the bridge were something else entirely. Then came the climb to Ruyi Peak — steep, hot, and absolutely relentless. Hundreds of stairs winding upward, legs burning, breath getting heavier. But reaching the top made every step worth it. The view was pure magic: karst mountains rolling forever, valleys folding into each other, and the world below looking impossibly small. A moment you just stand still for, letting the landscape take over. The glass walkway added the perfect adrenaline hit. A clear path suspended over the valley, with nothing but air beneath your feet. Looking down through the glass felt like floating above the world — surreal, thrilling, and unforgettable. We ended the day drifting back down in the cable cars, watching the mountains fade behind us.
