Britannic Explorer After Dark at Carlisle 05 September 2026

Saturday evening 5th September and the Britannic Explorer is passing Carlisle en route from Askam, via Carnforth, to Appleby. Before you comment I know I have misspelt Britannic through the video! We also have Cement empties en route from Mossend to Clitheroe. This seems to only run weekly now with many more wagons than of old. The 'Russell' contract northbound train passes through as do the evening northbound intermodal from Hams Hall and a Network Rail Visual Inspection Unit VIU 4 en route to Slateford.
