A day trek 80kms from Bengaluru in Kanakapura Taluk. Its a holy place of Devi Kabbalamma, there are 2 temples at the top. The history says this hill top used to be the Prison for the convicts and Tippu's drop to throw them from the hill top as a punishment. The total trek distance is around 5 kms from base, both ways. This is an underrated hill and a must visit for any trek enthusiast. Altitude: 1051m as per Google No Entry fee or Parking fee. Respect the local rules. The origins of Kabbaladurga Fort can be traced back to the 9th century when it was initially constructed by the Cholas. The fort's prominence reached its zenith during the reign of Tipu Sultan, who used it as a defensive outpost against British forces during the Anglo-Mysore Wars.
