After falling in love with the Hyte Y70 Touch, I was really looking for a way to get some of the feel of that case in a way that would not cost as much money. That and the Y70 is too big for my components and my use case – so I needed another option. So I grabbed a 12.3 inch 1920x720 touch screen from Amazon that fit in my existing pc case without impacting airflow or causing any issues.
The screen will be great for putting up pc monitoring widgets but also for just having a cool looking Wallpaper Engine live wallpaper running on the side adding to the ambience of my set up.

I ended up needing a 90 degree adapters for USB C and HDMI (actually 270 degree for the hdmi) and cutting some small holes in the back of the case but for the most part the screen worked out of the box as expected and I am quite happy with it so far.
Couple things to note:
Full unit functioned off single usb C to usb C cable to my phone but the same cable did not work for my pc – I believe this was my pc usb c port not being enabled for video out, so something to be aware of for your system.
If you have multiple monitors, you will likely need to tell windows which screen to link the touch components to.
o Control Panel - Tablet PC Settings – launch Setup – hit Enter to scroll through the monitors until the text shows up on the correct screen you want to control with touch
It does have built in speakers but they aren’t great
One of the two included usb C to A cables did not provide a data connection – I don’t know if the cable was bad or if it was intended to just be a power cable but it wasn’t marked as being different from the data cable, so something to watch for.
