I grew up believing that protecting cows was a moral and cultural duty, so I decided to ask a simple but uncomfortable question: is the cow protection movement actually saving cows? In this video, I break down the history of gau raksha, the realities of the modern dairy industry, and the hard numbers that are almost never discussed, to show why cows are bred, where they actually go when they stop being profitable, and why gaushalas and bans fail to solve the problem at scale. This isn’t an attack on faith or people who care about animals. It’s a logical postmortem of a movement driven by emotion and politics, and a look at the one core issue most leaders and influencers refuse to confront.
