We made the ULTIMATE STEALTH Ratchet Shifter // VL Calais TH400

The plan was simple, install a Turbo 400 Transmission and Stealth Ratchet Shifter in the VL Calais. Simple wasn't good enough so we took stealth to the next level! This Holden Calais VL Commodore is super clean and ready to get some spicy upgrades. Tom, the owner of the car wanted to keep the interior looking as factory as possible. This gave us the idea of incorporate the brand new Stealth Ratchet Shifter into the original factory T-bar shifter. Sam makes all the necessary modifications to make the shifter fit in the car without destroying any of the original surround. If this wasn't ambitious enough he increases the difficulty by repurposing the overdrive button on the T-bar shifter to function as the activation for the transbrake. The result is something special and truely turns this car into a wolf in sheep's clothing. Once the new converter arrived for the gearbox we strapped the VL to the dyno to see what kind of power it was making and hear that glorious turbo spooling noise.
