What is it like to go camping in Australia's springtime? We pitched our tent right under a flowering tree. We felt blessed when petals fell onto our owning and tent. The enchanting sights and scents of springtime added a unique and truly magical dimension to our camping adventure. For this adventure, we decided to experiment with a brand-new tarp shelter setup. The size of this tarp is generously large, offering shade not only for our tent but also for our trusty car. Thanks to the secure guy lines, the awning remained steadfast even in the face of gusty winds. This setup not only grants shaded access to the back of your vehicle but also ensures your cooking and dining area stays protected from both the scorching sun and unexpected rain showers. It's worth noting that this particular configuration gives the awning a gentle slope, which means it won't collect rainwater, keeping your outdoor space dry and comfortable even during rainy spells. Under the cozy awning, we enjoyed a wonderfully creative BBQ dinner, and the results were absolutely sensational. We wrapped delicate enoki mushrooms in tofu skin, crafting them into delectable skewers. A brief review for Lowells Flat Campground: Don't rely on the ETA on your navigation app, we spent 2 more hours on the road, as the trail features several shallow water crossings, very steep sections and tight switchbacks. We engaged low range gear almost all the time. 4WD access only. Not suitable for trailers and caravans, unless you are a very experienced driver. Plenty of areas to camp, you can camping beside the river, under the trees, or on the open grass land. Only one drop toilet. A river for fishing enthusiasts. No cellphone receptions, but the open areas are great for Starlink.
