My bike had to have an engine transplant due to a problem with the previous engine. After I got that done, the original carb from the bike was overflowing fuel, not running well and just having all kinds of problems. Mainly it would run for about 30 seconds and then die of fuel starvation. You’d let it sit, then the process would repeat. Even after ultrasonic cleaning it. So I bought a replacement carb. The one I bought was a NIBBI PE 22 carburetor And this is my record of what I did to install it on the bike.
Quick note for the future me: I’m pretty sure the stock throttle cable would’ve worked fine if I could just figure out how to get the end of the cable out of the top of the fake Kiehin carb slide cover. I’m pretty sure it has an E-clip or C clip or something holding it in, but I couldn’t figure it out.
This video is primarily for me because no one has an NSF100, or would need to do this. But when I have to look at how I installed it, in the future, I will have forgotten by then. So this video is my working journal. Especially for the throttle cable install.
I can tell you if you had installed this on an XR 100, the carb would carb fit up perfectly onto the cylinder head. I have no idea about integrating the xr100 airbox into it and how it would fit. If that’s what lead to this video, take a look for others on the actual dirtbike install. I do highly recommend this carb though. It went together so easily and works so well I’m very happy.
