Avanti West Coast train fleet/rolling stock. Avanti West Coast (VT) is a train operating company in Great Britain (serving the West Coast Main Line) operated the West Coast Partnership franchise by First Group and Trenitalia since 2019. Avanti operate services along the WCML out of London Euston. Their routes included those from London to Birmingham, London to Manchester Piccadilly via Stoke on Trent and Crewe, London to Liverpool Lime Street, London to Chester/North Wales (Wrexham, Llandudno Junction, Bangor, Holyhead), London to Glasgow Central via the Trent Valley Line and Preston and London to Edinburgh/Glasgow via the West Midlands. Avanti also operates limited service routes to Blackpool North and until June 2024 Shrewsbury. Avanti serve principle staitons on the WCML only including Watford Junction, Milton Keynes Central and Rugby. This video shows the current train fleet (December 2024) along with the future rolling stock and past rolling stock for this operator. The Avanti West Coast train fleet is currently in the process of receiving new electric and bi-mode trains to replace their older diesel trains. Avanti took over operation of all 56 class 390 Pendolino tilting trains from Virgin Trains which are formed as 9 and 11 carriage units. All Pendolino feature 3 travel classes with 2+2 throughout standard class and 2+1 through out standard premium and first class in a mix of table and airline seating. Each Pendolino feautres an onboard shop. The class 390 have all now been refurbished by mid 2024 from their previous interiors under Virgin Trains West Coast. Avanti are currently receiving their new order trains from Hitachi in the form of 5 carriage class 805 Evero bi-mode trains which are taking over the unelectrified North Wales services as well as limited services via the West Midlands. There are also 7 carriage electric class 807 Evero trains which will provide additional capacity for a second Liverpool service and for West Midlands semi fast services. These trains also feature both standard and first class sseating and are of a similar design to other operators Intercity Express Trains operated by GWR, TransPennine Express, LNER and Hull Trains. Unlike the Voyagers they replaced the Evero trains will not tilt. Until December 2024 timetable change Avanti operated 5 carriage class 221 Super Voyager tilting trains which operated the North Wales route as well as some London to Scotland via Birmignham services and those to Blackpool North. These units are now stored or are moving to other operators such as Grand Central and Cross Country trains. It was planned for Avanti to operate the first High Speed 2 trains which will operate on the HS2 route from London to Birmingham once this opens in around 2030 however the franchise set up will likely change by then and no train orders have yet been confirmed for West Coast HS2 services. The train fleet information is correct as possible as of December 2024 and future train fleet dates are based for the planned introduction for passenger services. Past Train Fleet is based on when the current Avanti West Coast franchise has been in operation since December 2019. #Avanti #Pendolino #RollingStock
