Who is Called to Be a Deacon?

The Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana is thrilled to share this short film, produced by Archdeacon Charles deGravelles, designed to train discernment committees and educate people about the role of deacons. The film was funded through a generous donation from Kevin Lyle and his wife, Renee Chatelain, of Baton Rouge in honor of Deacon Pat Lyle, Kevin’s mother. Deacon Pat Lyle dedicated many years to ministry in the diocese, serving the elderly and working as a spiritual director. She died in 2024. Videographer: Tembi Muna
