Healthy soils are fundamental to achieving climate resilience and delivering net zero ambitions. Soil systems underpin carbon sequestration, water security, biodiversity recovery, resilient food systems, urban sustainability and the circular bioeconomy. Yet soils remain significantly underrepresented within climate policy, investment strategies and corporate transition planning.
This London Climate Action Week webinar will bring together leaders from science, business, finance and policy to explore how soil can be positioned as a strategic climate solution supporting national and global climate ambitions.
The webinar will explore the following themes:
Understanding Climate Risk and Building Resilience
Regenerating Nature and Supporting Net Zero
Finance, Innovation and Climate Action
Global Perspectives and COP Connections
The British Society of Soil Science is an established international membership organisation and charity committed to the study of soil in its widest aspects. https://soils.org.uk/
