We're back for a third vlog series about Paraguay! Anyone here since the first series? Drop recommendations and questions below and be sure to like and subscribe to see the videos to come! Major shoutout to Osvaldo for driving and organizing such an incredible itinerary for us. Here are some highlights from our trip with a little more information for anyone interested... Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción (Villarica) - A beautiful stop for cool photos and to appreciate the beautiful architecture and history of this church. Parque Manuel Ortiz Guerrero - We lucked out and saw capybaras here! Please be respectful if you go and give the capys space to do their thing. Las Ruinas Jesuíticas de Encarnación - You buy one ticket (Paraguayan or foreigner price) and entrance covers all 3 ruins and is valid for 3 days. We highly, highly recommend going to Jesús de Tavarangüé at night for their light show - it was a total highlight of our trip!! We unfortunately did not make it to the third site, San Cosmé y Damián, but if you have the time, add it to your plans! Selecta Yerbatero Tour - https://www.selecta.com.py/turismo We loved this experience! You take a bus or walking tour around the property to learn about the history and process of making Yerba Mate and Tereré. At the end, you get to sample mate and/or tereré in their café! Combining this experience with visiting the Jesuit Ruins ended up being perfect because of the overlap of these respective histories! La Cabañita Kaffee Haus - The vibes, the views, and the food were amazing! We had a fantastic afternoon coffee together here.   / la._cabanita   Santuario de la Virgen de Itakua - This was a beautiful and peaceful place to visit and pray in Encarnación. You have to pay for bathrooms, so come prepared as needed, but definitely worth the stop. La Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación - This was a beautiful place to visit and attend Mass. I loved the altarpiece art, it was so unique! La Iglesia de San Roque González de la Santa Cruz (Encarnación) - We only visited briefly, but this church was stunning and I would love to go back and attend Mass there if possible! San Roque is Paraguay's patron saint.
