This is What I Left The City For...

This is what I left the city for. Morning coffee, kererū in the cherry trees, my daughter running outside, and a day working on our countryside homestead in New Zealand. In my recent video, I talked about why I chose to leave the city and live rural. This film is the quiet companion to that conversation—a chance to experience a little of the life I was talking about. We start in the kitchen making espresso, then head outside for birdlife, gardening, and the jobs that need doing around the property. Caring for this land takes work. It also gives me plenty of reasons to get outside and pay attention to what’s around me. There’s very little talking in this one. Mostly natural sounds, cinematic footage, and the rhythm of an ordinary day in rural New Zealand. Put on some headphones, grab a coffee, and spend a little time here with me. ▶️ Watch the story behind leaving the city:    • Why I Chose To Leave the City and Live Rur...   What would you leave the city for—or what keeps you there?
