DJI Neo 2 + RC 2 | Cinematic Flight Test – Better Than Expected!

I normally use the DJI Neo 2 for tracking and quick, everyday captures. This time, I wanted to try something different. Paired with the DJI RC 2, I took the Neo 2 higher and farther than I normally would, flying in Normal Mode to see whether this little drone could produce usable cinematic footage. Nothing aggressive or complicated. Just a slow, relaxed flight with smooth movements, testing how the Neo 2 handles altitude, distance, and outdoor conditions. *Flight and Camera Details:* Drone: DJI Neo 2 Controller: DJI RC 2 Flight Mode: Normal Recording: 4K/60fps Wind: Approximately 11–15 km/h Sharpness: -2 Noise Reduction: -1 ND Filter: None Additional Stabilization: None Color Grading: None The footage is presented without post-production stabilization or color grading. I've only trimmed the flight and added music and narration so you can judge the actual image quality for yourself. My impression? I'm genuinely impressed. The Neo 2 doesn't have the camera specifications of DJI's Mini series, and I wasn't expecting it to perform like one. But for a drone this small, the footage turned out better than I anticipated. For someone looking for a compact drone to bring on trips, outdoor activities, or simply to capture everyday moments, the Neo 2 might be more capable than its size suggests. This isn't a range or endurance test, and I'm not trying to push the drone to its limits. I simply wanted to find out how useful it could be for casual cinematic flying. Watch the footage and decide for yourself. Have you tried using the Neo 2 for cinematic flying instead of tracking? I'd be interested to hear your experience. *Music & Sound* Music licensed through Epidemic Sound.
