Gulgong Historic Gold Mining Town

Gulgong is a small historical town in Midwestern New South Wales, famous for the Gold Rush and Henry Lawson. It is about a half hour drive north west of Mudgee. Historically it was one of the main gold mining areas in New South Wales after the precious metal was found there in 1870.
